July Program - Via Zoom

What Goes Into an ARISS Contact

The next club meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2020.

The Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) program allows students to experience the excitement of talking directly with astronauts, inspiring them to pursue interests in careers in science, technology, engineering and math, and engaging them with radio science technology through amateur radio. Learn about the history of amateur radio contacts with crewmembers in space, how the ARISS program works and the tremendous amount of advanced planning and coordination it takes to maximise the chances that the contact is successful. Calvin Gluck, W7KYG will discuss these topics and his recent experience working on an ARRISS contact! Join us in our July meeting via Zoom for this exciting program!

If you have not received an invitation for the Zoom montly meeting, contact a club officer.
