October Program - Getting Started in Amateur Radio Contesting

The next club meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021.

Please join us Friday night as Brian Schoenefeld, WX5FTS, presents the program titled, “Getting Started in Amateur Radio Contesting”. Contesting, also known as “Radio Sport”, is when ham radio operators gather on the airwaves to compete for points generated by how many contacts (completed QSOs) they have made throughout the contest period. And just in time for the November Sweepstakes! Even if you don’t want to compete, it’s always a fun and useful way to measure how well your station is performing across the bands. We look forward to seeing you there!

We will also be voting for Ham of the Year.

Our club meetings are held at the Arlington Human Resources Building, 501 West Sanford Street.

Our club meetings are also being streamed on Zoom. Ask for details.
